SEMINAR FOR MOTIVATION AND PROMOTION OF VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION IN RSM

A seminar for motivation and promotion of voluntary blood donation in RSM was held In the period from October 2 to 4, 2020, in hotel “Solferino” in Struga. The seminar was attended by 24 people, new motivators from the Club of Blood Donors of the Red Cross of Skopje (representatives of AD OKTA Refinery, ARNM, Health Insurance Fund, Educational Institutions, AD Makpetrol, PE Water Supply and Sewerage) and representatives of the Red Cross branches of Center, Gazi Baba, Kisela Voda, Karposh, Chair, Kumanovo, Veles, Stip, Negotino, Bitola, Tetovo and Ohrid.

The contents of the seminar enabled all participants to be actively involved in the work, the opportunity to express their opinions and exchange experiences, to learn about blood donation in RNM and the world, control and prevention for COVID 19 and the role of the Red Cross in managing and organizing blood donation activities in crisis situations and epidemics, public health aspects of nutrition, problems and opportunities for improvement, mental health of the population in crisis situations and epidemics and the importance of psycho-social support, exercises for motivation and demotivation, which we can change as well as proposed activities for the organization of blood donation in crisis situations.
