The Red Cross donated two incubators to the Children’s Hospital
On the occasion of 75 anniversary of its foundation, before the pandemic, the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia conducted a campaign for provision of incubators for premature and ill babies. The ambassador of the campaign was the wife of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mrs. Elizabeta Gjorgievska.
The ceremonial event for handover of the incubators took place today and the two incubators for premature and ill babies were donated to the Department of Neonatology, Pediatrics and Cystic Fibrosis at the University Children’s Hospital in Skopje.
Ms. Gjorgievska emphasized that caring for premature born ill babies should be an extremely important priority and in that sense was the desire to provide this equipment and thus save as many lives as possible.
The Secretary General of the Red Cross, Mr. Sait Saiti, also addressed the event, emphasizing that, marking our anniversary with the handover of this donation is a great effort expected to contribute for the improvement of the operating conditions of the Children’s Hospital.
The donation was received by the Director of the University Hospital for Children’s Diseases, Ms. Natasha Alulovska, who thanked for the organizing of the campaign, which showed that even in times of crisis there are socially responsible stakeholders who want to help.
