Training for Psychological First Aid in crisis and emergency situations

On September 19, 2023, the Center for Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support at the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia conducted a one-day training on the topic: Psychological First Aid in crisis and emergency situations. The training was carried out by Tiana Ivanovska, psychologist and president of the body for emergency response during disasters from the Chamber of Psychologists.

18 participants from the Red Cross of RNM, representatives from CRC Skopje, RCB Kichevo, RCB Kavadarci, RCB Gostivar, RCB Ohrid and members of the team for emergency response during disasters of the Chamber of Psychologists of RNM had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge in the area of first psychological assistance in complex situations. This activity strengthened the capacities of the participants who will further implement activities for psychological first aid and psycho-social support in crisis situations. The participants that are trained for psycho-social response in crises are part of the crisis management and response component of the Center for Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support.
