Training for logistics, rapid assessment and distribution of humanitarian assistance, s.Bogomila, Veles 01.06.2017 – 06.02.2017

In the period 01.06.2017 – 02.06.2017 the Macedonian Red Cross, in cooperation with the Red Cross Branch Veles and supported by the Rotary Club Veles organized a workshop for logistics, evaluation and distribution of humanitarian aid for the needs of the response team of the Red Cross Branch Veles s.Bogomila in Veles.

The main aim of the training was to improve the capacities of the volunteer team of emergency response Red Cross branches of Veles as well as raising the efficiency of the response in case of disasters with a focus on logistics, evaluation and distribution of humanitarian aid.

The workshop was attended by 18 participants and trainers from Macedonian Red Cross and Red Cross branches of Veles. During the two-day training the work was to develop content of logistics, evaluation and distribution of humanitarian aid. By sharing experiences and practical examples the response team of the Red Cross Branch Veles went through the topics and their relevance with practical application. The second day of the workshop was used for a training exercise for assessment and preparation of a distribution plan with advance scenarios for villages Nezilovo and Orese. Team members have successfully completed the exercise and applied the knowledge gained.
