Visit to the Croatian Red Cross in frames of the preparations for the exercise “Humanitarian Response 2023”

In the period 26-27.07.2023, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, PhD. Sait Saiti, visited the Croatian Red Cross, during which a meeting was held with the Executive President of the Croatian Red Cross, Robert Markt. The main objective of the meeting was sharing experiences for organizing a national disaster preparedness and response exercise of the Croatian Red Cross with an emphasis on fulfilling the auxiliary role of the national society, as well as coordination with all relevant institutions in the preparatory phase. Examples of activities, roles of teams, as well as digital solutions for communication and monitoring of all participants in the exercise were shared.

The Croatian Red Cross will participate in the “Humanitarian Response 2023” exercise on 18/10/2023 in Skopje with a team to support the activities of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, especially in the area of water rescue and transport of injured people across a river from hard-to-reach areas.
