Workshop for motivation and promotion of voluntary blood donation in the Republic of Macedonia

In the period from 02-04 November 2018 in Struga, was held a workshop for motivation and promotion of voluntary blood donation in the Republic of Macedonia, organized by the Macedonian Red Cross and the Institute for Transfusion Medicine, The workshop was  attended by 38 participants, young motivators represented through the Club 25 of the city Red Cross of Skopje, motivators from the Club of Blood Donors of the city Red Cross of  Skopje, professionally employed persons from the Institute for Transfusion Medicine and guests from the Albanian Red Cross.

The main goals of the workshop were education, motivation and promotion of voluntary blood donation in the Republic of Macedonia, attracting young donors, developing a program for apheresis of platelets and increasing the number of blood donors among the Albanian population.

The contents of the program were presented on the basis of the principles through: presentations, sharing experiences, role playing, exercises and the opportunity for active involvement  of the participants.
