Assistance for the affected population from the disastrous floods in Slovenia

The disastrous floods caused by the strong storm, which hit Slovenia in the past days, unfortunately caused great material damage and loss of human lives. Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes all over Slovenia.

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia expresses deepest condolences and sympathy to Slovenia and all its citizens for the great loss and damages resulting from the floods. The Red Cross of RNM is in communication with the Slovenian Red Cross and according to the made assessment, they were immediately offered initial assistance. From its reserves, the Red Cross of RNM allocated funds amounting to 5,000 euros, as well as volunteers and teams for appropriate response and depending on the needs on the ground, they will be made available upon request.
