CEREMONIAL MARKING OF 17th MARCH
Jubilee 70 years of Macedonian Red Cross under the slogan “Walking together” on 17th march was marked with a lot of events and activities.
Youth volunteers on the city square have promoted the human values of the Organization through exhibition, animation, games and promotional stands.
This activity was visited by the representatives of the National societies, ICRC and IFRC that where guests of Macedonian Red Cross.
Main event was the Official ceremony that was held in Macedonian folk theatre under the protection of PhD. Gjorgje Ivanov President of the Republic of Macedonia.
In presence of representatives from state, public, governmental and non-governmental organizations, companies, religious institutions, ambassadors, foreign delegations, members and volunteers, his addressing had the Macedonian Red Cross President Dr. Milcho Trajkov.
Also the present were addressed by PhD. Gjorgje Ivanov who highlighted that humanity doesn’t begins when there are certain conditions for it or when the circumstances allows it, but when it is herd that someone needs help regardless of his ethnic, religious, social or any other kind of orientation.
At the ceremony the Macedonian Red Cross has awarded PhD. Gjorgje Ivanov – President of the Republic of Macedonia, and the Austrian Red Cross with Gold Medal awards. Jubilee awards were given to IFRC, ICRC, EVN Makedonija, Alkaloid AD Skopje, Komercijalna Banka, Prof. Dr. Jovan Tofoski (posthumously), Mr. Koce Trajanovski – Mayor of Skopje and Mr. Nedzat Elmazi.
In the name of all award recepients the mayor of Skopje Mr. Koce Trajanovski addressed the present.
Within the agenda there were showings of a documentary movie and performances of Margarita Hristova, Sintezis and Trajche Georgiev.
