Conducted training for PFA trainers
The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia on 13.06.2020 and 14.06.2020 conducted 2 online trainings for trainers for psychological first aid. These trainings are supported by the USAID project, and are part of a total of 9 psychological first aid trainings (PFA), psychosocial support (PSS) and PFA and PSS telephone lines, intended for volunteers and staff of the Red Cross of RNM. The trainings lasted 6 classes and were attended by 22 volunteers and 17 employees of the Red Cross.
The trainings were conducted by the licensed trainers Despina Stojanovska and Ivana Marincek, through the ZOOM platform by using a presentation which consisted of the basic postulates of administering first psychological aid, including interactive exercises with discussion and explanations of the theoretical part.
In the second part of the training, the participants had the opportunity to try themselves in the role of trainer and thus to practically practice the training that is expected to be further enhanced in their RC branches.
The trainings on psychological first aid (PFA), psychosocial support (PSS) and telephone lines on PFA and PSS were conducted in order to increase and improve the capacities of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia in the area of psychological assistance and support of its volunteers and employees and also of the total population.
