Crisis Communication Workshop

On September 24, 2019 the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia (RCNM), with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) organized a workshop with Red Cross staff and volunteers to promote mutual cooperation and sharing information on information and communication in crisis situations.

The workshop presented various aspects related to the functioning of the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement, especially the activities for timely and proper information and communication in crisis situations.

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, as the largest humanitarian organization in the country, presented experiences on the mechanisms / set-up of the structures in RCNM for coping with emergencies / crises related to communication.

The workshop was facilitated by Majlinda Mustafa, Public Relations Officer at the RCNM, the Deputy Head of the International Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross – Belgrade, Ms. Gordana Milenkovic, and Sanja Ivanis – Communications Officer.

The workshop was followed by an open discussion where workshop participants discussed various issues related to Red Cross work and crisis reporting.
