Exhibition of photographs and work activities for supporting migrants and refugees who transit through Republic of Macedonia
Within the campaign “Stop the indifference-Save humanity, an exhibition of photographs and work activities for supporting migrants and refugees who transit through Republic of Macedonia, which aims to raise awareness of the human needs of migrants and activities provided for their support, was held at the Skopje Museum on the 21st of June, 2016 at 19:00 pm,.
The Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, Sait Saiti, the director of the Skopje City Museum, Luben Tevdovski and number of invited guests and volunteers of the Red Cross attended the exhibition. The Secretary General of the Red Cross, Sait Saiti opened the exhibition by addressing to the guests that the campaign is a great opportunity and a great mechanism for people to show their humanity, ambition and willingness to help migrants who transit through our country. “The team of the Red Cross, together with our volunteers, are constantly present in the field and I would like to send a message to all those who have not shown their humanity yet and to invite them to actually respond and do that” – said Saiti. He said that the exhibited photographs are great testimony of the events that occurred in our everyday lives, the sufferings, personal disappointments, problems and disasters of the migrants, as well as the volunteers’ commitment and activities throughout the campaign that should be an incentive for everyone in the future to engage in such activities, work and dedication.
