The first aid campaign represents the commitment and ambition of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia in raising the awareness of the young population about the importance of correct and timely administering first aid and promoting first aid in educational institutions. First aid is a vital initial intervention that helps reduce injuries and increase the chances of survival in a situation where the life of an individual or a group of people is in danger.

In frames of the campaign, the Red Cross branches of RNM conducted 736 first aid trainings and educated a total of 28,206 students from primary and secondary schools in the Republic of North Macedonia. At these trainings, the children had the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge for providing first aid as a quick and vital intervention whose goal is to save human life, but also to reduce complications from injuries and disability. First aid is an invaluable lifesaving skill that children should develop throughout their lives.
