Invitation for the workshop – Information and communication in situations of crisis

The Macedonian Red Cross, as one of the largest humanitarian organizations, has faced tackling situations of crisis in the past years, by providing humanitarian assistance and providing services to the people who have been encountered with risks.

In the past two years, the Republic of Macedonia has endured a wave of migrants who have transited through the state. As a governmental assistant of the Republic of Macedonia and within the mandate of our organization, intensive support and assistance is still being provided for people who live in the centers at the border crossings.

You, the Media, are constantly monitoring the situation with migrants and many other situations and informing the public about the events that are taking place.

In order to improve the information and communication skills in situations of crisis, the Macedonian Red Cross, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, has organized a workshop with representatives of the media, on how to properly inform and communicate in situations of crisis.

We would like to invite you to the workshop that will be held on October 22, 2018 from 10:00 to 14:00 in the premises of the Macedonian Red Cross, Bul. Koco Racin 13, 1000 Skopje, where we will jointly try to transfer the knowledge and experiences regarding information and communication. At the workshop, a representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross and other experts will also do a presentation.
