Online webinar of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day – December 5
On December 4, 2020, the Red Cross of RNM organized a webinar on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day – December 5. Several Red Cross branches of RNM and the Red Cross of the City of Skopje participated on the online event. The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, also participated in the webinar and in his address he expressed special gratitude to the Red Cross volunteers for the overall contribution for coping with the crisis situation in the Republic of North Macedonia caused by the pandemic with Covid-19. On behalf of the Red Cross of RNM and on his own behalf, President Pendarovski awarded the Certificate of Appreciation “For All Our Volunteers” to all volunteers of the Red Cross of RNM for their contribution for overcoming the consequences caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The President of the Red Cross of RNM, Prof. Dr. Romel Velev also addressed the event, and spoke about the importance of volunteering in the society and the contribution of volunteers in the Red Cross.
Volunteers from the Red Cross of the City of Skopje and the Red Cross branches of Bitola, Veles, Kumanovo, Ohrid and Shtip had their addresses and shared video content showing activities of the national society for responding to the pandemic with Covid-19.
The moderator of the event was Nikola Trajkovski, a journalist from the Macedonian Television and a volunteer of the Red Cross of RNM.
