Seminar: Perspectives of the Red Cross in providing Psychological First Aid and Psycho-Social Support

In the period from 28 to 30.04.2023 in Solferino, Struga, the Red Cross of RNM held a seminar on the topic of perspectives of the Red Cross in providing first psychological first  aid and psycho-social support. The seminar was organized in frames of the project “Response to COVID-19 for improvement of the economic situation of marginalized people in 6 countries in the Western Balkans”, financed by the Austrian Development Agency and the Austrian Red Cross.

The seminar was organized for volunteers, staff and partners of the Red Cross of RNM. Through exercise activities, role plays in realistic scenarios and interactive lectures, the participants gained knowledge and experience in providing psycho-social support and psychological first aid in crisis and emergency situations. Topics that were of great importance to the participants were: Psycho-social support for children, Grief and coping with loss, Psycho-social support for volunteers and staff and Self-care.
