Study visit by Red Cross of Montenegro
In the period between 17th and 21st of November 2013, representatives from Montenegro Red Cross realized study visit in Macedonian Red Cross, within the project for active ageing through advocacy, which is financially supported by ERSTE foundation and Austrian Red Cross. The delegation from Red Cross of Montenegro was consistent of 8 members from Red Cross Podgorica, Niksic, Bar and Mojkovac, where such activities are also implemented.
The goal of the visit was to share experiences and good practices between both teams. In order to achieve that, firstly they visited the Daily Centre for older people in City Red Cross of Skopje, where they had opportunity to see the specific activities that are conducted there and share their experience with the team. Among the other, they also visited some of the Centre clients.
Additionally, the Red Cross Local Branch Veles was also visited, where Round Table on “The needs of home care for older people in rural areas”, was held. Beside the representatives from Montenegro and Macedonian Red Cross the event was also attended by representatives from the local institutions. Additionally a meeting was held with the local team for Veles, which is implementing the home care activities.
The study visit was also used for visiting the Red Cross Local Branch Kriva Palanka where also such activities are implemented. For that purpose a joint meeting was held where both the teams had opportunity share their experiences and best practices, and also to conduct filed visit of clients.
