The Red Cross of RNM was visited by a delegation of the Turkish Red Crescent

The General Director of the Turkish Red Crescent, Mr. Ibrahim Altan, paid a two-day visit to the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia in the period from March 31 – April 1, 2021.

During the stay, several meetings were held at the Head Office of the Red Cross of RNM with the Secretary General of the Red Cross of RNM, PhD. Sait Saiti. The Turkish delegation, accompanied by with the Secretary General of the Red Cross of RNM, PhD. Sait Saiti visited the Daily Center for Blood Donation, the Daily Center for the Elderly and the Center for First Aid.

On March 31, 2021, during the visit in the Head Office of the Red Cross of the RNM, the delegations discussed about the overall functioning of both national societies as well as the implementation of the different programs in the area of health prevention, social humanitarian activity, disaster preparedness and response, volunteer management and international cooperation.

The Red Cross of RNM received humanitarian aid from the Turkish Red Crescent consisting of 100 wheelchairs, 25 hearing aids and 500 packages of hygiene items for people with disabilities.
