Twelfth day- Vodici

Traditionally for the Christian holiday “Twelfth day” on 19.01.2015 the city Red Cross of Skopje with the disaster response unit was a part of the event in order to maintain the safety of the 127 believers that entered the river Vardar to catch the holy cross. At the event there were 60 volunteers deployed in 4 teams: water rescue center, disaster response team, mountain rescue team and team of professional doctors. The event was organized well with several minor injuries that were successfully treated by the team of doctors in the First aid tents, which was the duty of the city Red Cross of Skopje. The entire process for action of the disaster response unit also included preparations, coordinative meetings, field assessment, activities during the event and cleaning the field after the event.
