Workshop for self-assessment of the preparedness of the national society to apply the tool for financial support of vulnerable population through cash transfer and voucher assistance – CVA

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia with the support of the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Societies, organized the second workshop for self-assessment of the national society within the program for preparedness for application of the tool for financial support of the vulnerable population through cash transfer and voucher assistance – CVA. The training was conducted in the educational training center “Solferino” in Struga in the period of September 4 to 7, 2023.

The purpose of the workshop was to conduct a second self-assessment of the capacities of the national society for using the CVA tool and to revise the action plan which included activities for a period of three years. The facilitators of the workshop were Marcin Podlesny, IFRC delegate for CVA preparedness in the IFRC regional office for Europe, in Budapest, Farook RAHMAN, IFRC delegate for CVA from the IFRC Office of the Cluster Delegation for Central and Southeast European countries in Sarajevo and Sawsan ABU RASSA representative of the American Red Cross.

A total of 17 people participated in the workshop – representatives of the Head Office of the Red Cross of RNM, City Red Cross of Skopje, and Red Cross branches of who have basic knowledge about the application of the tool.
