18th October – European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings

The Macedonian Red Cross as a member of the Secretariat of National Commission for Fight against human trafficking and illegal migration through organizing preventive activities is included in marking 18th October –European day against trafficking in human beings. On the occasion of 18th of October, will be organized workshops for education of young people in primary and in secondary schools which will be conduct through the city Red Cross of Skopje and the Red Cross Branches of Struga, Stip, Kavadarci, Strumica and Debar. The prevention lessons have an intention to raise awareness of the young people, recognition of the way through which young people can be involved in human trafficking and the self-protection. A total of 9 educated workshops will cover over 300 participants from primary and secondary schools in six Red Cross Branches in the country, volunteers from clubs of the city Red Cross of Skopje and the Red Cross Branch of Stip. Also, in Skopje, Kumanovo, Ohrid and Stip will be set stands with educational and informational materials which will be distributed from young volunteers of Red Cross.
