City Red Cross of Skopje along with the UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) actively is involved in support of the refugees that are transiting through our country.
The Red Cross on field is involved with 7 mobile teams that are securing booth border crossings at Tabanovce and Gevgelija. Teams are consisted of doctors, paramedics and members of the Red Cross well trained in first aid. Total number of persons involved in the teams is 41, and additionally involved are 30 staff members of the Red Cross.
Mobile teams are operating 24 hours per day in three shifts.
In the period 04-06 September distributed were:

Medical interventions are including treatment of injuries on lower extremities (broken bones, concussions), cuts, burns, de-hydrations, diarrhea, collapses, flue, allergies, support of pregnant women, transport to hospitals etc.
