The personal data privacy policy of the mobile application regulates the manner in which the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia collects, uses, maintains and discloses the data collected by the users (individually – “User”) of Emergency Button (“Application”). This privacy policy applies to the mobile application only.
What information do we collect?
The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia collects the following data when visiting the application:
Personal identification information
We may collect personally identifiable information from users in a variety of ways, related to the activities, services, features or available resources of the application.
Why do we collect the location of the first responders?
We need the location of the first reponders – employees of the Emergency Button service of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia – to determine which person is closest to the client. Then, the person closest receives a notification and information about the client to visit as well as general information about the client (age, health status, address, etc.). The location is used and called only in case there is an active alarm initiated by a client or by the dispatchers in the Monitoring Center. The site is not for sale or shared with third parties or outsiders. Only the employees of the Monitoring Center and the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia have access to the information on the location of the device. Employees working in the field sign an agreement that their location will be used for the needs of the Emergency Button service.
Non-personal identification information
We may also collect non-personally identifiable information whenever you visit the application. Non-personally identifiable information may include the name of the browser, the type of computer, and technical information about the connection that the user uses when visiting the application, such as the operating system and the ISP, and similar information.
Search engine cookies
Our application may use cookies to enhance the user experience. The user’s browser browses the cookies on his computer for the purpose of storing records of the application visits. Users can choose to set their web browsers to reject cookies or issue a warning whenever cookies are sent. If users select this option, certain parts of the application may not work as intended.
How do we use the information we collect?
The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia collects and uses information from users to facilitate assistance, training, activities and field activities with the main goal of helping those who need help the most.
We do not sell, exchange or rent personal information to third parties. Personal data may be disclosed only in accordance with the legal regulations specified in the regulation on personal data protection, as well as other applicable regulations.
Third party websites and links
Users may find ads or other content on our application that links to other sites and services of our partners, donors, and other third parties. We do not control the content or links contained on those sites and are not responsible for the actions of employees of the sites linked to or from our application.
Privacy policy for the web application only
This privacy policy applies only to information collected through our web application and does not apply to personal data collected in any other way.
Changes in the privacy policy
The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia has the right to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do this, we will notify the main application of the web application and revise the update date at the end of this application.
Acceptance of the terms
By using this application, the user agrees to the provisions of the privacy policy of the application. If you do not agree with the policy, please do not use our application.
