International training for water and sanitation and hygiene promotion. Dojran 2015

In the period 27.06-04.07.2015 Macedonian Red Cross in cooperation with Austrian Red Cross- Branch Shtaer has organized a training for water and sanitation and hygiene promotion in Red Cross center in Dojran. At the training there were 25 representatives of Macedonian Red Cross and 8 representatives from Austrian Red Cross.

During the 7 day training there were different topics for water purification with TWA6 station, laboratory examination, sanitation and hygiene promotion, distribution of water and field assessment for provision of water resources. Training was provided by experienced and licensed instructors from Austrian and Macedonian Red Cross. All of the participants have successfully completed the training and gained certificates for qualified personnel for operating TWA6 water purifying station.

On 02.07.2015 the training was visited by the Secretary General of the Macedonian Red Cross PhD Sait Saiti. During the visit there was a meeting with Mr. Wolfgang Stockl representative from Austrian Red Cross where was expressed gratitude for support and there were discussions for future cooperation of the booth National societies in the field of disaster preparedness and response.
